Our Story

Founded in 2007, El Buey helps building owners, property managers, and design professionals comply with state and federal accessibility laws and codes. 

Stacey Brewer, our Principal has over 20 years of experience in the field of accessibility.  She gained extensive knowledge of statutory, administrative, and technical requirements of both state and federal accessibility compliance while working at the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR). Licensed as a Registered Accessibility Specialist, and Registered Interior Designer in Texas, she earned her master’s degree in Construction Management from Louisiana State University and has taught accessible design to Interior Design students at Texas State University.
